Hulín (Kroměříž region) - The Hulín town hall in the Kroměříž region is preparing two more projects this year for the revitalization of its urban housing estates. This year, the Sadová housing estate will undergo its first phase of repairs, and the city intends to invest additional funds into the Višňovce housing estate, which was partially renovated last year. CTK was informed by Mayor Roman Hoza (ODS). The costs for the revitalization of both areas are expected to be about 13 million crowns this year.

The city of Hulín has over 7,500 inhabitants. About half of them live in three large housing estates - Sadová, Višňovce, and Družba. More than a quarter of all the city's residents live in Sadová and Višňovce alone.
Last year, the town hall invested primarily in sidewalk repairs, enhancing greenery, and replacing street furniture in the first phase of the Višňovce housing estate revitalization. Similar improvements are expected for Sadová this year. "In the second phase in Višňovce, we mainly plan to increase the number of parking spaces, which is the biggest issue in these housing estates," said the mayor.
Additionally, there are plans to expand the local park area in the Sadová housing estate, which will include a garden of the former kindergarten. According to the mayor, the construction of several new playgrounds is also planned.
The city is now seeking subsidies from the Ministry for Regional Development, which it could receive as early as spring. If successful, it will secure half of the necessary 13 million crowns. "The moment we receive the subsidy, we will immediately announce a tender, and work will begin because everything is project-ready," added the mayor.
