Příbram – After the reconstruction of the variety hall, music groups are returning to the cultural house in Příbram. The aim of the renovations was mainly to eliminate issues with acoustics. Last year, the performance of the band Slza was a great success, and this year fans can look forward to concerts by groups such as Citron, Jelen, or Horkýže Slíže, said Petr Bednář, the director of the Příbram theater, to ČTK today.

"We have reconstructed the variety hall, there is new acoustics, it has been repainted, and there are new parquet floors. It's important that the bands are returning to us. We are starting from scratch with the variety hall because the acoustics that have been here for the last 11 years have discouraged everyone," Bednář stated.

A performance by the band Citron is planned for this Saturday. The bands Jelen and Horkýže Slíže will come to Příbram on March 13 and April 3, respectively.

The complex of the Příbram cultural house consists of a large and small theater stage, a club, a cinema, and a large social hall. It includes a restaurant, café, and hotel. The building from the 1950s is not in good condition, and previous estimates suggest that nearly 175 million crowns would be needed for its complete renovation. Such a fundamental reconstruction is not currently within the city's capabilities.
