On the occasion of World Architecture Day, the fourth edition of Architecture Day, organized by the civic association Kruh, will also take place in the Czech Republic on the first weekend of October. During the festival, residents of Czech and Moravian cities will have the opportunity to discover often hidden and interesting architectural objects in their vicinity. This year's program will also include DOX with a program related to the exhibition Martin Rajniš: Huť architektury and a walk around the DOX building led by its architect Ivan Kroupa.

14 - 17h | Family Workshop: Building as a Living Creature

The studio of architect Martin Rajniš (H.A.M.R.) has built a sculpture terrace at the DOX center called Sloní záda (Elephant Backs). Come and try building your own Klackoid from tree branches under the guidance of one of the builders. The natural and now unconventional building material will come to life again under your hands with the professional support of architect Tomáš Kosnár.

15 - 16h | Let's Go Inside: The author of the architectural project of the DOX Center for Contemporary Art, Ivan Kroupa, will guide you through the spaces of this unique gallery.

The DOX Center for Contemporary Art building is an example of successful conversion of unused industrial buildings. For this reason, it was included in the 2008 publication Phaidon Atlas of 21st Century World Architecture among the most significant buildings in the world and in the same year it was nominated for the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award. The building will be guided by its author, Ivan Kroupa.

16 - 17h | Guided Tour of the Exhibition MARTIN RAJNIŠ: Huť architektury

The exhibition presents a cross-section of the work of architect Martin Rajniš and his studio, focusing on the past 12 years. Martin Rajniš has made a significant mark on the map of world architecture with important projects that are connected by the idea of long-term sustainability, ecology, and the concept of architecture as a tool for community-society development.
