Bruntál - The Bruntál City Hall is looking for an investor or developer who would ensure the new use of the former military compound. Warehouses or logistics centers could be built here. The plots of land, covering an area of three hectares, are located on the outskirts of the city. The city previously had the buildings demolished, and the site remediation was completed in 2009. This was stated by city hall spokesman Jiří Ondrášek.

According to the zoning plan, the parcels are not designated for residential use. The construction of halls for small production or manufacturing services is planned here. There is also an opportunity to build warehouses, administrative buildings, or transport terminals. The location is along the route Hradec Králové - Šumperk - Bruntál - Opava - Ostrava.

"We have been addressing the use of this area for a longer period. We have cleared the city land from the buildings of the former military barracks and completed the site remediation in 2009. The area is now ready for further use, we are prepared to negotiate with investors and developers and offer them this area. We hope to find an investor and utilize the area for business purposes," said Bruntál Mayor Petr Rys.

The Moravian-Silesian Region will offer the vacant areas to potential investors and developers at foreign trade fairs.
