Brno will build a kindergarten with 75 places in Kamenný vrch for 44 million

Brno - The Brno City Hall will build a new kindergarten at Kamenný vrch in Nový Lískovec. The building above Petra Křivka Street will accommodate 75 children and will cost the city 44 million crowns. The school is expected to be completed in 2025. There are plans for the construction of cooperative apartments for young families in the area. According to Mayor Markéta Vaňková (ODS), the construction of apartments requires an increase in preschool education capacities equivalent to three classes.

Plans are underway for the construction of 700 new cooperative apartments, with the city establishing a cooperative that will build at significantly lower prices than the commercial market. “In the first phase, 350 apartments are to be built. We are currently addressing the final comments on the project documentation. We plan to obtain occupancy permits in 2025,” said the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Property Management Jiří Oliva (ČSSD).

The kindergarten, which will cost the city 44 million crowns, includes a two-story building for 75 children, school management, educators, and other staff. It will also feature a kitchen with a capacity of 100 meals, a fenced garden, and a parking lot is also planned.
