Budapest - A museum in the shape of a Rubik's Cube is set to be built in Budapest by 2017, where visitors will find an exhibition of the intellectual achievements of Hungarians over the past 1100 years. This was reported by the MTI agency. The construction is scheduled to begin in 2014. Among those attending the press conference where authorities informed journalists about the plans were Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Ernő Rubik, the creator of the famous puzzle. Orbán stated that isolation from the surroundings, which is a consequence of the linguistic difference of Hungarian, is characteristic of Hungarians. In this context, he added that scientists and inventors help mitigate this isolation with their successes, and therefore, they enjoy significant respect at home. The government would like to use European Union funds for the construction of the museum, but if they cannot access those, they plan to finance the project from their own resources.
