The election campaign has started at the Brno FA

At the Faculty of Architecture of VUT in Brno, elections for the academic senate are approaching. It will presumably be very interesting to watch especially the upcoming election of the dean (a lively discussion about the future dean took place before the holidays on archiweb - here).

The deadline for elections to the Academic Senate of FA and VUT is approaching. The procedure will follow the Election and Procedural Rules of the Academic Senate of FA as follows: 1. Nominations of candidates for the elections - both the proposer and the candidate must be members of the academic community, and the candidate must agree to their candidacy. Please send proposals along with confirmation of acceptance of candidacy to Mrs. Illková at the FA dean's office by September 27, 2005 (AS VUT) or by October 3, 2005 (AS FA). Do not forget to indicate where the candidate wishes to run (AS FA, AS VUT). 2. The list of candidates will be given to the chair of the Election Committee to check whether all parameters of the candidacy are in order; subsequently, the candidate lists will be compiled. 3. The candidate lists for the elections to the AS VUT will be published on September 27, 2005, and those for AS FA will be published on October 3, 2005. 4. Elections to the AS FA and AS VUT will take place on October 13, 2005. 5. The Election Committee will publish the results of the elections immediately after their evaluation. 6. Within seven days after the announcement of the election results, the chair of the election committee will convene the inaugural meeting of the newly elected AS FA.

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Architecture of ČVUT in Prague is announcing Elections of the candidate for dean Requirements for candidates according to the Election and Procedural Rules of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Architecture of ČVUT in Prague (Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4) - Any member of the academic community of the Faculty of Architecture may propose a candidate. - Nominations of candidates must be submitted to the election committee. The approval of the proposed candidate, confirmed by their handwritten signature, a brief biography prepared by them, and an election program are necessary for inclusion on the candidate list. Deadlines October 31, 2005 | Deadline for submission of candidate proposals November 16, 2005 | Election meeting - personal presentation of candidates November 23, 2005 | Election of the candidate for dean February 1, 2006 | Start of term of office Proposals (applications) in an envelope marked "ELECTION OF DEAN" should be submitted by October 31, 2005, by 12:00 noon to the election committee of AS FA ČVUT, Thákurova 7, 166 34 Prague 6, to the attention of Mrs. Nosková, secretary of AS.
