Summer Pavilion AA by Simon Whittle

This summer, a battle of David and Goliath will take place in the field of summer pavilions in London. Serpentine Gallery, with its rich tradition and always a famous architect up its sleeve, will compete against Simon Whittle - a second-year student at the Architectural Association in London. The winner of the competition emerged from a group of eleven students from this school. With the material and technological support of Finnforest and the experience of Ove Arup, a project was created that Whittle described as “a family tree rendered in timber“.
