Visitors to the National Museum of Architecture in Washington will surely be delighted by the installation of the maze designed by the Danish studio Bjarke Ingels. The maze is a preview of a major exhibition by studio BIG, which the museum curators are preparing for next year.
"The concept of our maze is simple. In a traditional maze, the path to the center becomes convoluted; however, we have reversed this scenario and created a maze that brings clarity and visual understanding to the heart of the labyrinth," clarified Bjarke Ingels about the unusual installation.
The maze, with a footprint of 57x57 meters, is made of birch plywood. It will be accessible in the museum until September 1.
