On Sunday, September 15th, a vernissage of the exhibition "Visions for Pečky" took place at the Cultural Center. This initiative comes from architecture students at the AAAD in Prague, who present their designs for the ideal future direction of the town of Pečky. A more detailed presentation of the individual projects, along with a discussion with citizens and city representatives, will follow the exhibition on September 22nd at 2 PM in the same location.

The exhibition was created based on the initiative of the town hall and the interest of future Pečky architects in our town. Throughout the semester, a group of architecture students from the AAAD in Prague worked on this theme.
The process included the following stages: it began with a general analysis that highlighted the main issues of the town. The authors then proposed a series of visions for Pečky that respond to these problems. At the same time, they seek to strengthen the phenomena that can determine the future direction of the town. The final part of the process was devoted to individual work on specific tasks, the selection of which was determined by the previous steps—analysis and visions. These projects exemplify a real realization of the outlined strategy.
The selection of individual themes points not only to shortcomings but primarily to the potential of the town. The tasks are academic and represent ideal solutions over many years. However, all projects are firmly connected to reality and can serve as a basis for developing specific studies according to the requirements of the town and its inhabitants.

The project themes include:

Conversion of the refinery & Housing near the station – utilization of the brownfield of a defunct factory
Connecting park – linking the northern and southern parts for the town's residents
Completion of the center – densification of the urban core

Masaryk Square – renovation of the main square and reconstruction of the center
Path along the canal – connecting Pečky with the regional tourist network

Housing by the pond – a new way to regulate residential development
Park for meetings, sports, and games – transforming the forest park into a center for outdoor activities
Pečky House – multi-generational family housing
