The minister assumes that the Czech Republic will participate in Expo 2015 in Milan

Prague - Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg assumes that the Czech Republic will participate in the next World Expo 2015 in Milan. The Czech minister stated this after a meeting with his Italian counterpart Franco Frattini. In response to journalists' questions, Schwarzenberg mentioned that the country has previously participated in World Expos and will be pleased to do so in the northern Italian metropolis as well.
    The Czech government's decision on participation in the Milan Expo, which will carry the slogan "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life," will be made soon.
    The last World Expo took place last year in Shanghai. The Czech pavilion at the Cultural Olympics of Nations in China was successful, winning several awards and attracting many visitors.
    Expo 2010 ended in October, and the previous Czech government allocated half a billion crowns for participation. The Czech pavilion represented the country as a modern nation. The exhibition featured, among other things, 22 large white cubes with works by artists. They prepared technological experiences and design surprises focusing on emotions for the visitors. The good choice was confirmed by the fact that the entire pavilion's exhibition was sold for 32 million crowns. It will continue to promote the Czech Republic in China.
