Marius Kotrba: The Great Moment - Exhibition at GVUO

The exhibition consists of three separate parts (secular motifs, sacred motifs, and paintings) that showcase the work of Marius Kotrba. The exhibition section dedicated to the paintings of Marius Kotrba will be on view only until May 1, 2022.
Marius Kotrba (1959–2011) is an unmistakable figure in Czech art. Through his work, he created a monumental monument to honest sculpture, which is timeless in its intertwining of spiritual and physical energies in the very plasticity. The exhibition will present his work with civil and interpersonal themes as well as a significant group of works with spiritual content. Marius Kotrba is also the author of extraordinary realizations in public space and, last but not least, a painter whose medium of painting accompanied him throughout his artistic career. The great moment is the title of his key sculpture and simultaneously a symbol of his personality, life, and human legacy.
