The exhibition is a collection of photographs of buildings from the city of Brasília by Oscar Niemeyer. The author of the photographs is Slovenian architectural historian and photographer Damjan Prelovšek. The photographs, installed in an originally conceived exhibition, capture all significant buildings of this globally renowned, still actively creating giant of modern architecture. The exhibition was created for the National Gallery in Ljubljana and has also been seen in Prague, Wrocław, Ostrava, Litomyšl, Bratislava, Brno, and Gliwice. The Opava exhibition is supplemented with a complementary theme Oscar Niemeyer in Czechoslovakia, which will focus on the inspiration and response to his work in former Czechoslovakia.

Damjan Prelovšek (*1945) is an architecture historian, connoisseur of the works of Josip Plečnik, former ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Prague, today the director of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, and a photographer. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is the author of numerous publications, scientific articles, and dissertations in the field of architecture. He also deals with the creations of the Baroque period and the 19th century. He is the author of the exhibition Architect Oscar Niemeyer, Brasília.
