The Community of Architects, as a registered association, continues the tradition that began under the presidency of Alena Šrámková in 1993 and announces the XXIV. year of the Grand Prix of Architects - National Award for Architecture on April 18, 2017.

The biggest novelty of this year will be an exhibition of all submitted works in the public space in the central part of Prague 1, where tens of thousands of people will have the opportunity not only to become familiar with the current architectural creations realized in the territory of the Czech Republic from January 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017, but they will also have the chance to express their opinions on individual works through an application of interactive elements using mobile phones.

The selection of the Grand Prix of Architects will be made once again by an international five-member jury, of which only one Czech representative is allowed, and traditionally a representative of the partner Association of Architects of Slovakia is always invited as well.

The invitation to sit on the jury is unique in that you can only do so once in a lifetime, and upon completion of the judging process, you automatically receive honorary membership in the Community of Architects.

The following personalities have confirmed their participation in the jury:

• Pavel Suchánek - Slovakia
• Jakub Potůček - Czech Republic
• Axel Schultes - Germany (in negotiation)

The basic statute of the competitive exhibition remains unchanged. Architects can register online on the Community of Architects' website until July 4, 2017.
Online registration for the exhibition is not associated with any costs for the registering architects.
The official announcement of the results will take place on the International Day of Architecture on Monday, October 2, 2017.
