London - The Royal Institute of British Architects announced 9 winners of the RIBA National European Award 2013, and the Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari designed by Jan Kaplický is one of them.

“Willingness to take risks is not for the timid in recessionary times, but among this year’s crop of truly exceptional buildings, I am pleased to see many projects that were not afraid to take risks,” said Angela Brady, President of RIBA, regarding this year's edition.
A total of 43 buildings in England were named on the list of the best new British buildings, which will receive awards for architectural excellence from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). They further proceed, along with 9 other buildings from the EU, to be nominated for the highest award from RIBA – the Stirling Prize. The winner for this year will be announced on September 26 in London. The RIBA awards have been held since 1966 and are judged and presented locally.
“Winning alongside architects like Zaha Hadid or David Chipperfield is a true recognition of Jan Kaplický's work, and I see it as a great honor. A big thank you goes to the Casa Natale Enzo Ferrari Foundation, and especially to architect Andrea Morgante, who completed the building with great respect for his friend Jan Kaplický.” Their favorite quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: “It doesn’t matter whether we look at each other, but whether we look in the same direction,” comments the good news Eliška Kaplicky Fuchsová.
