Chipperfield won the competition for the expansion of the Kunsthaus in Zurich

David Chipperfield's project was selected by the jury as the winner of the competition for the expansion of the Kunsthaus in Zurich.
    The plans for the expansion itself will be presented on December 15 at the Kunsthaus, where the public will be able to view an exhibition (from December 16 to January 11) of all twenty participating projects.
    Unlike most other architectural competitions for the world's "top stars," this one was conducted strictly anonymously. The jury chose Chipperfield's proposal due to its comprehensive connection of all urban architects' requirements, while also offering a convincing functional solution that fulfills the criteria for creating a vision of a 21st-century museum.
