Lidmila Švarcová graduated in 1958 from the Czech Technical University in Prague and subsequently worked at the Liberec Stavoprojekt from 1961 to 1991 (in the studios of K. Hubáček, P. Švancer, J. Suchomel). She designed interiors for wedding halls, cultural houses, and landscaping for gardens and parks. Since 1980, she has designed costumes for theatrical productions, primarily for the F.X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec.
