Biography
Eike Roswag-Klinge is one of the initiators and directors of ZRS Architekten Ingenieure Berlin, which was founded in 2003. Since 2017, he has been the chairman of the Natural Building Lab at the Technische Universität Berlin. For over 20 years, he has been exploring the adaptability of architecture in various climatic zones, which forms the basis for his educational, construction, and building projects. His projects demonstrate great diversity, ranging from clay and bamboo schools in the south, through heritage rehabilitation projects in the Middle East and Europe, to housing, production buildings, and schools made from wood, earth, and natural fibers in Europe. His research focuses on climate and culturally adaptive architecture, with a particular emphasis on low-tech building systems. The projects he has worked on have been awarded the Aga Khan Award 2007, KAIROS European Culture Prize 2015, Holcim Award 2011, Gold in Asia Pacific, and more.
