Pavel Buryška (*1984 Ostrava) co-founded the Prague studio XTOPIX in 2011 together with Barbora Buryšková. The studio extensively engages in projects with a social impact, particularly in the complex revitalization of central squares and extensive public spaces within urban heritage zones and reservations, as well as the revitalization of public spaces in smaller residential units. It cultivates a long-term interdisciplinary creative dialogue with associated professions. The studio advocates a contextual approach based on local experiences and connections. It works with the genius loci of the given place, historical analysis, and participatory meetings with local residents, from which, along with the design, the leitmotif of individual projects emerges. The studio consistently strives to connect prominent artistic personalities, architects, and various institutions – the cultural and family center Knoflík in Prague's Prosek recently realized one of the first projects featuring mural art by artist Michal Škapy as part of the "Art for the City" program from the Gallery of the Capital City of Prague. XTOPIX has been involved in the long-term significant architectural transformation of the town of Planá.
