Helena Huber-Doudová - Baugruppe ist super! - přednáška v Banské Bystrici
We invite you to a fascinating presentation that will bring closer the Berlin participatory housing construction from the beginning of the millennium to the current trends in housing policy. We will also address the question of whether and how the concept of baugruppe could be applied in the context of Prague and the Czech Republic. Baugruppe is a group of people who pool their finances and efforts to build an affordable apartment building according to their own ideas. They entrust the management of the construction agenda to a project manager. They find a plot of land and jointly finance its purchase as well as the construction of the house. An architect transforms their individual wishes into the design of the building, and upon completion of the construction, each becomes the owner of their apartment.

Mgr. et Mgr. Helena Huber-Doudová, PhD. is the curator of the architecture collection of the National Gallery Prague. She focuses primarily on architecture after 1945 and its media implications. As a research assistant and international curator of the "International Museum Fellowship" program in cooperation with Kulturstiftung des Bundes, Universität Erfurt, and the Museum of Books and Writing in Leipzig, she prepared an exhibition on the infographics of Otto Neurath and Fritz Kahn (2016–17). From 2011-12, she completed an internship at the Architecture Museum Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. She has received several scholarships, including DAAD, Aktion Österreich, and others.
