The Faculty of Architecture of CTU warmly invites you to a lecture by Ali Madanipour, theorist of urbanism and professor of spatial planning specializing in sociology. Madanipour is the author of dozens of highly cited publications. His personal experience from childhood and adolescence in the Middle East, combined with a British education and upbringing in critical thinking, allows him to perceive the issues of European urbanism in broader contexts and thus open up key themes.
The lecture will take place on Monday, December 2, 2019, at 6:00 PM in Lecture Hall 155 Gočár, Faculty of Architecture CTU, Thákurova 9, Prague 6 Dejvice. It will be in English, entry is free and accessible. From 5:30 PM, you are invited to the foyer for a welcome drink.
The lecture is part of the November Talks 2019 series, a series of lectures supported by the Sto-Stiftung foundation at European schools of architecture since 2006. This year they are taking place in London, Paris, Venice, Stuttgart, and Graz, and at the FA CTU in Prague for the fifth year. The theme for this year's November Talks at FA is Transformation: changes in the boundaries of professions in a changing world.
