The proposal for the gardeners' facilities reinterprets the archetype of the courtyard as an agricultural operation by using contemporary architectural language. The buildings are grouped around the courtyard in a U-shape – so that the botanical displays in the forest are not visible from the agricultural facilities. The house has two faces: towards the forest, that is, towards the displays, the building has a facade clad in wood, oriented towards visitors. In contrast, the facade facing the courtyard is designed with facing concrete blocks, combined with strikingly colorful doors and gates. This exposed rawness of materials – without the use of plaster – continues into the interior of the building. The gardening operation – handling soil, flower pots, etc. – has become a source of inspiration for a visually expressive solution.
