Villa on the hillside, Prague-Braník

The house was created through the modification, extension, and loft construction of the original house on Vlnitá Street in Braník and is intended for the new needs of the owner's family, the configuration of the surrounding terrain, and its relationship to the environment.
The project included the completion and extension of the family house for the family's needs, the design of vertical subdivisions, and modifications to the garden on the slope behind the house, which includes a pool and a bridge connecting the garden to the house at the attic level, where the bedroom area and children's rooms are located.
At the raised ground floor level, there is the main open living space linked to a living terrace leading to the garden and connected to the terrace above the garage facing the street. This new dining area is thus connected to both the garden and in contact with the street and the sun.
In the original part of the house, there is a living room with the possibility of separating a quiet additional room.
In the entrance area, there is a guest room and a study, technical facilities, a garage, and an entrance hall illuminated by an opening for a direct staircase leading up to the garden level.
Urbanistically, the house maintains the building line of the street and respects the size of the solitary houses in the surrounding area with its mass.
Structurally, the house was built from traditional materials of fired bricks combined with visible load-bearing concrete columns, and both the ceiling and roof structures are made of reinforced concrete.
The facade is finished with plaster imitating exposed concrete, and the corten sheet cladding appears on part of the original house, including a decorative and visual "curtain" that shields the view to the neighboring property. The openings are filled with aluminum profiles in anthracite color. The flat roof sloping toward the garden has a membrane with gravel coverage, while the garage roof features an extensive green composition.
