Tennis court with facilities

Tennis court with facilities
The object of the tennis court with facilities is an extension to the existing recreational cottage and is situated in the northwestern part of the plot at the boundary of the parcel, which adjoins the access road. The area of the court is defined by the corner of the parcel and the edge of the retaining wall, which balances the height difference between the level of the court and the terrain elevation. The resulting cut is used for placing the facilities building. It is embedded completely below the terrain, such that the retaining wall of the court also forms its facade and the level of the playing surface is at the sill of the building. The mutual displacement of the court and the facilities creates a height difference for the entrance to the building.
Technically, the building is designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete structure made of waterproof concrete B 30 without additional waterproofing. The front facade of the facilities and the adjoining retaining wall is built from locally sourced stone arranged dry.
The architectural and material solution is chosen with regard to the natural character of the surrounding landscape and the folk architecture of the area. In the nearby vicinity, elements of retaining and perimeter walls made of collected stone are significantly applied in the buildings.
