The community room is the result of the reconstruction of the existing workshop building from the 1960s. The structural solution of the workshop is based on a steel supporting structure made of T-profiles, which was filled with wood-cement panels about 8 cm thick, forming the perimeter wall, which is otherwise uninsulated. The roof was covered with corrugated asbestos sheets.
The basis of the reconstruction of the workshop into a community room was to preserve the welded supporting structure, visually connecting the interior with the exterior by removing three panels from the southwest side and installing large-format thermal-insulating double glazing in their place. The other perimeter walls were fitted with 100mm Rockwool thermal insulation boards, and on the outside, with larch boards. Instead of the existing metal doors, painted solid doors with a ventilation window were installed on the northwest side. The roof is also insulated with mineral wool, finished internally with larch boards painted white, while the outer side is covered with pine boards and asphalt strips as roofing. The floor consists of the original concrete slab, a grid, and 80mm Rockwool boards + larch boards. The lighting is industrial original from the 1930s.
Heating is provided by wood stoves connected to the original chimney structure.
The new workshop and storage building is a wooden structure, with a load-bearing wooden frame made of 9 x 5 cm beams and clad in larch. The entire building is not insulated. The roof is a mono-pitched roof covered with asphalt strips. The doors are made entirely of wood with a metal sliding mechanism. The building is situated on concrete strips and a slab.
