Santa Monica Place

Santa Monica Place was an urban project by the development company Rouse Company. The shopping mall, featuring 163 shops and restaurants over an area exceeding half a million square feet, underwent modernization in the early 90s. The current modernization of the complex equates to its demolition and the construction of a new shopping center. The parking lot for 2,000 cars rationally contrasts sharply with the early deconstruction of the facades of the shopping zone and its kitschy postmodern interior, where scenes from the series Beverly Hills 90210 and Terminator II took place.
