On a relatively complex plot, both in its shape and the terrain profile, is situated a high-standard urban villa in the classic point building style of the old part of the village of Hodkovičky.
The villa provides maximum comfort for a family of four living in the city. The terrain’s intricacy and the relatively extensive content of the brief posed a challenge. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that every room could open onto the garden, so that wherever you are in the house, you always have a visual connection with nature. This resulted in a unique project where the garden surrounds the house like an impenetrable wall, occurring at several levels: in the planted terrain as well as on the rooftop terrace and garden.
The entrance to the house, given the modulation of the terrain, leads to the upper floor, which is private. This is divided into a children’s area and a parental area. The staircase descends to the lower floor precisely at the point where both sides of the residential "L" shape of the house can be seen. The entry from the narrow passageway of the staircase into the volume's most interesting part of the house allows one to take a breath and enjoy the heart of the house - the integrated atrium with the entire garden.
The external appearance of the house should be simple and timeless, with an emphasis on classic materials. Therefore, using travertine and wood was a clear choice. These two materials also appear in the interior. Everything is complemented by a subtle black line in the form of window frames, flashing of the cornice, and railings.
The house is designed in an authorial design from the concept to the detailed interior design, including individual pieces of furniture as originals specifically for this unique project.
