Parents with two small children wanted to create a fully-fledged weekend apartment in a relatively small attic.
The goal was to not overly compartmentalize the given space (due to its size and limitations of the sloping ceilings). The bathroom (bathtub, sink, WC) and the children's room are separated by doors, which only closes in the evening when the children go to sleep.
Everything else functions as one unit; despite the sloping ceilings and the large number of beams, the space feels airy.
The kitchen is the center of the apartment, functioning as one "artistic" whole with the staircase, which leads from the front door along with a few steps that lead to the terrace. We utilized the gable walls for storage, while the rest is solved with individual pieces.
The aim was to ensure the maximum number of functions with minimal furniture, to emphasize the play of light, and to create a space primarily for relaxation, lounging, listening to music, and reading under the lamp; not to forget a corner for the PC, and to create space in the kitchen for communication among several people (cooking together) … in short, a little bit of everything.
