The new building is an extension and enlargement of the existing spaces of the company, which is engaged in the production of industrial ceramics. It is part of an industrial complex that forms a heterogeneous cluster of administrative buildings. It is connected to an earlier successful reconstruction that the builder realized in 2003 (administrative building with a red facade, architects Michaela Kryštofová and Jiří Marek).

At the beginning of the collaboration between the architect and the builder was the selection of a site for the construction, an important condition was the functional connection of the existing building with the new one. The original intention to construct a mezzanine in one of the existing buildings was not possible due to the low load-bearing capacity of the structures.
We decided to utilize the space between three buildings – the administration, the production hall, and the neighboring administrative building. This space serves as the entrance communication to both of the builder's buildings and is simultaneously used for parking and passage.
The new building was supposed to contain at least five workstations and a materials testing room. Its width is minimal, limited by the operations between the buildings. The height of the building and the shape of the third floor are influenced by the shading from the offices of the neighboring building. Both administrative buildings (the original and the new one) are connected by a corridor and a link at the level of the second floor. The new building has three floors, a width of 4.5 m, and a length of 18.3 m (without the connecting link). The narrow facade with three windows faces south. Each floor has one larger room. On the ground floor, there is a testing room for ceramic materials, on the second floor, an office with five workstations, and on the third floor, a reserve for placing another office.
The narrow interior space is alleviated by views in the stairwell and windows in the offices (each worker has a desk by the window).
Structurally, it is a classic brick building made of ceramic bricks with reinforced concrete ceilings. The connecting link and the sloping part of the roof are steel structures with a lightweight cladding. The building is plastered, except for the metal cladding of the link. The white color of the facade reflects more natural light onto the neighboring building. Inside, the lighting is supported by light colors of the walls and furniture. The austere white-gray space is enlivened by the floors and irregularly dispersed lighting fixtures.
