Optics EYE-EYE In the Pit

Address: Vodičkova 26 – vchod z ulice V Jámě, Nové Město, Prague, Czech Republic
Completion:2014
Area:40 m2

The inspiration to open the optical shop came from a visit to the Moscot eyewear store in New York. The store across the ocean inspired the future owner with its simplicity, the solidity of the materials used in the interior (wood), and especially its openness towards customers with the absence of glass locked display cases...
Eye–Eye V Jámě offers visitors a full range of products illuminated on open wooden shelves. These are suspended on the walls of a clear, consistent vaulted space, which became pronounced after cleaning and removing the original interior furnishings. The wooden shelves are complemented by mirrors and tables. The entire interior is made of solid oak, and the floor is made of polished concrete. The simplicity is enhanced by the logos of the individual eyewear brands created in the form of cut graphics.
