The residential building is located in the center of Ostrava, in the rehabilitated area of the former Karolina coke plant.
The building is part of the second phase of the New Karolina Residential development and completes the eastern side of Bishop Bruno Square. The building has three stairwell sections with 6, 9, and 8 above-ground floors. The ground floor houses entrance areas, commercial units, garages, basements, and technical rooms. From the 2nd floor upwards, apartments of various sizes and standards are designed.
The mass of the building is significantly shaped with accentuated towers and a cantilevered northern wing.
The main motif is the lines of the ceiling panels. The space between them is divided by French windows, the plasticity of the loggias, and the in-between wall claddings with structured plaster.
The project also addressed the transport and technical infrastructure of the complex, the urban ground floor, and the landscaping of public spaces.
