Description of the object, concept of the architectural expression of the buildingThe plot is located in the territory of the Velkopopovicko natural park.
The house is designed as a composition of simple shapes in the shape of a T. The central main living area consists of a linear body with a profile typical for historical rural buildings. Two side cubic masses, the garage and workshop with a terrace and pool, are compositionally linked to it. The object is structurally designed as a single-story, non-basement wooden structure combined with a masonry entrance central part. The ground-level prism of the quiet living areas is inserted into a regular grid of wooden trusses connected to the masonry part. This entire mass is then set on a concrete pedestal of the foundational constructions.
The material solution is based on the contrasting effect of the individual parts of the house and their mutual compositional balance. The residential wooden prism with a façade of wooden panels is rhythmically structured by a grid of windows and exposed wooden trusses.
Description of the functions of the individual partsThe entrance to the house is situated in the masonry part, connecting to the garage. The masonry part forms the conceptual core of the house with a cloakroom and vestibule, connecting corridor, technical and hygienic facilities. It is connected to the quiet zone of the parents' bedroom with a wardrobe on the western side, and further the main elevated living area with a kitchen on the eastern side, followed by a second quiet zone with two children's rooms. This quiet zone is separated by a partition block of the bathroom and pantry. In the upper floor of the masonry part, there is an attic accessible by stairs from the living room.
In the adjacent two side wings, there is a garage with storage for garden and sports equipment and a workshop along with a covered terrace and an outdoor fireplace. The outdoor pool is adjacent to the terrace.
