The tombstone is designed as a concrete cast in a block shape with a depression, which is the projection of two elliptical curves. When filled with water (rain), this geometry creates an oval-shaped surface. Over time, the tombstone will transform – the water level may appear, fluctuate, and then disappear again. Thus, traces will remain preserved in the concrete, becoming a temporal and climatic record.
The recording and reading of these layers became a motif in considering the author's concept – just like the personality and professional activity of Antonín Přidal. The author of the design presumes that over time, the pure water surface can develop into life – not only can birds drink from the tombstone, but it is very likely that something will sprout there sooner or later, thus creating a small and truly specific "habitat".
The textual part of the tombstone is made as a relief impression.
