The compact building block is situated at the upper north area of the plot. The north corner of the mainly 1-storey high kinder- garden rises up into a second floor annex to correspond with the surrounding building heights and to cover the entrance area. Here we can find a parking lot which can also be read as front-yard. This yard extends through the foyer and continues as covered playground towards the main garden. Starting as the foyer, the main axis supplies classrooms and common facilities (situated along both sides) while providing distribution space and cloakrooms. The surrounding rooms can be connected optionally to the axis. This adds life to the corridor space and converts it into an inhabitable space. The classrooms are equally oriented towards the South-East.
Wall-sized windows enhance the impression to be part of the exterior green spaces. Two covered courtyards cut big scars into the building. While separating the classrooms these yards mainly connect the assembly-hall in the South-West to the gigantic park in the South-East. The assembly-hall develops itself from the green zero level towards the lifted annex in the north. The stairway is designed to serve either as little stage or as stands for all sorts of activities in the common space. From the office space in the annex the nurses can watch the entrance area while keeping an eye on the children in the lower assembly-hall.
