Son-O-House is
“a house where sounds live“, not being a real house, but an artwork that refers to living and the bodily movements that accompany habit and habitation. In the Son-O-House a sound work composed/designed by Edwin van der Heide is continuosly generating new sound patterns activated by sensors picking up actual movements of the visitors. The convoluting surfaces act as domes that overlap in three different scales, all of which are tracked by the sensors that fill the space with music, a music that saturates the house with the presence of previous visitors.
