Family houses 3x3 consist of a pair of buildings in the golf resort area in Hrubá Borša. The size of the houses is the same; they differ from each other in the arrangement system of individual spaces. The basic module - cube is arranged vertically in the case of house "A," while house "B" is laid out horizontally. The space between the shifted modules is utilized for placing terraces in both cases. Today, we present the single-story building.
The reason for building the house was the idea of highlighting minimally ergonomic modern living in a natural environment through the eyes of architects from the Endorfine studio. The task seemed straightforward - an assignment without limitations and requirements from a specific client. The goal became to create living space, whether permanent or weekend, with timeless parameters of functionality and design embedded in the surrounding environment of the golf resort.
In the beginning, it was necessary to reassess the assignment - size, essential rooms, their orientations, equipment with technologies, need, and methods of addressing privacy. The demands were subsequently reduced to a comfortable minimum for the sake of minimal care - the demands on energy, time, and the future owner's wallet. And finally, to design a form that materializes the idea on a real plot. The entire concept is supported by a minimal design language without any embellishments, allowing the composition of masses and their mutual interaction to stand out. The house seeks an ideal balance between privacy and communication with the surroundings, between functionality and beauty, between requirements and possibilities.
The building is low-energy and designed to be usable as a home for a small family, housing for seniors, or weekend apartment living. The core of the house is a cube - a living room with a kitchen, dining table, fireplace, and terraces. It includes 2 bedrooms with separate bathrooms. The remaining spaces add the necessary comfort - entrance, storage, and wardrobe. The house has direct access to water and a view of the hole of the championship golf course.
