Cadiz Central Market

The building is the result of an open competition held by the Spanish Public Works Ministry. It lies in the heart of the Cadiz historic quarter, very close to the cathedral. It had been an edifice of significant architectural value, built in 1841. The intervention proposal encompasses its restoration, the demolition of a central volume and its replacement by another one which allows to appreciate the old building through a contemporary architectural vision.
