We designed a house near the historic bridge on the banks of the Mže River in Plzeň on Truhlářská Street. The house is located in the heritage zone of the original northern suburb of medieval Plzeň.
The main expression of the house is its regular façade. The alternation of windows and loggias is applied not only to the south towards the city, but also to a nice view of the river. The regular grid gives the house a palatial character, supported by the greater height of the top floor.
Since the house is situated at the corner of a future cohesive development, we designed a dominant corner. This is emphasized by an intense green roof. For the future prosperity of the trees, we utilized a higher floor height in designated areas for solid soil depth. Part of the resulting rooftop garden includes an outdoor swimming pool.
