Apartment Building Kvítková

The location of the apartment building is in Zlín, near the center. The public space of this part of the city is formed by a compact block development supplemented by a few solitary buildings.
The proposed building with four above-ground floors follows the existing building line and spans the entire width of the plot. The cornice of the object at the third above-ground floor connects to the edge of the cornice of the adjacent multifunctional building, as does the depth of the setback of the last fourth floor.
The underground floor is spread across the entire area of the plot and consists of parking accessible from the adjacent multifunctional building, basement storage units, and technical facilities of the object. The raised ground floor of the building consists of two residential units of size 4+kk, supplemented with gardens built on the area above the underground parking. The second and third above-ground floors each consist of two residential units of sizes 5+kk and 4+kk. The last recessed floor consists of one apartment of size 6+kk, supplemented by two roof terraces and one atrium.
The arrangement of all apartments is based on the north-south orientation of the building and offers living space spread across the entire depth of the floor plan of the object. The kitchen with dining area faces south into Kvítková Street, while the living rooms face north into the quieter courtyard. Vertical communication is designed in the center of the layout.
The façade of the object is made of black facing brick, while the common areas of the object are left in exposed concrete.
