Residential building La Vista

The two residential brick-clad towers rise next to a canal surrounded by a big plain. They are in the shape of half cylinders and are laid out in such a way to form a square facing the water sheet. The exterior perimeter is marked by the rhythmical succession of windows. The resultant alternation of solids and voids makes it possible to perceive the changeable effects of the light on the surfaces. The two towers emerge like simple geometrical volumes from the plain but they also contrast with finality with the gentleness of the surrounding vegetation. The simple and primary forms of the near old thermal power station dialogues with the imposing presence of the new settlements.
