Bar and the Stavovské Theatre

With the new bar in the Mozart Lounge, we wanted to bring a clearly readable contemporary layer into the interior of the Stavovské Theatre. We do not strive to compete with the historical adornments of this beautiful space, but to support it with a harmonious contrast. We draw from the omnipresent symmetry and build on the beauty of simple forms. The minimalist mass of the bar is made of traditional brass. In a material that is not new here, but still manages to attract attention. By placing it in the center of the room and along the axis of the entire building, we elevate the bar to a hypothetical pedestal and create a new scene in the space.
