Aldo Favini was an Italian engineer and structural designer. He came from a family of construction entrepreneurs specializing in reinforced concrete. In 1930, he began his education at a school for construction professionals in Rome. His teachers were Mario Ridolfi and Vittorio Serao, who hired him as a collaborator on a competitive bridge project over the Tiber at Foro Mussolini a month after he graduated. In 1937, he enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Rome. He completed his studies in July 1942 and submitted his thesis on a bridge over the Tiber.
