The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment has established a Graduate Fellowship to meet the need for the next generation of architects and designers who will evolve traditional architecture and urbanism in response to the global climate and urbanisation challenges.

The two-year paid Graduate Fellowship will commence in summer 2008. It is designed for recent graduates in architecture, planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering and surveyors who wish to take part in addressing the global need for a more sustainable urbanism. It involves placements at The Foundation and with committed practitioners in the United Kingdom as well as an ongoing programme of master classes. For more information about applying for this exciting new programme, read the attached flyer.

Please apply with a covering letter and a 500 word essay on the subject: 'How can sustainable urbanism mitigate city sprawl?'

Your application must be supported by a letter of reference from your Head of School and include portfolio samples. The closing date is Friday 18th April 2008. Prospective candidates will be interviewed between Monday 21st to Friday 25th April 2008. Successful candidates will be notified by Monday 28th April 2008.
