The company Zumtobel supplied functional lighting fixtures Panos and VIVO II for a prestigious project, including a sophisticated control system for exceptionally economical operation.
The company Zumtobel was involved in the renovation of the historic City Palais building on Wenceslas Square in Prague, where a new interactive experiential exhibition of the Pilsner Urquell brand: The Original Beer Experience was ceremoniously opened. Zumtobel provided complete functional lighting with Panos and VIVO II fixtures, including an advanced control system, as part of the project implementation in this heritage-protected Art Nouveau building.
"We are very pleased to have been able to participate in the implementation of this project in the famous Art Nouveau building City Palais at the lower end of Wenceslas Square, which is a gem of the historic center of Prague," said Jan Vacek, managing director of the Czech branch of the multinational company Zumtobel Group. "According to the investor's requirements, we prepared complete functional lighting for the Pilsner Urquell Experience project based on three-phase tracks equipped with the most modern Panos and VIVO II fixtures. As is standard with our economical lighting systems, the entire installation is complemented by a sophisticated control system that provides the necessary lighting with minimal electricity consumption depending on changing conditions. Easy maintenance and long lifespan are also a matter of course."
The Panos fixtures, whose design has received prestigious awards such as the iF Product Design Award, will welcome visitors to the Pilsner Urquell Experience in the center of Prague with excellent light quality thanks to the latest technologies. The design of the Panos fixtures, which combines quality with economy in functional harmony, is based on high-quality reflectors and innovative LED technologies.
The second pillar of the functional lighting system in the historic City Palais building is the VIVO II series of eco-friendly fixtures, which meet strict standards in sustainable development while also being able to create an optimal environment for luxurious experiences with their pleasant and intense light. The VIVO II fixtures, characterized by attractive modern design based on advanced technologies, are a popular choice for shops, exhibition halls, and other presentation spaces. The reflectors in the ceiling tracks are freely adjustable, allowing the lighting to be adapted to changing requirements. Both VIVO II and Panos fixtures contribute to economical operation with energy-efficient light sources (LED) combined with an intelligent electronic control system.
The historic City Palais building, constructed on October 28 Street in the early 20th century according to the design of architect and builder Matěj Blecha, originally served the Prague Credit Bank. The recently completed renovation of the historic Art Nouveau building, listed as a UNESCO cultural heritage site, was carried out in cooperation with the National Heritage Institute. The main attraction of the City Palais is the new interactive experiential exhibition of the Pilsner Urquell brewery: The Original Beer Experience, featuring a pub and stylish shop, which was opened over three floors covering an area of 3,000 m². This ambitious project was prepared by the Californian company BRC Imagination Arts.
