Did you know that digital printing is one of the ways to give architectural solutions the highly sought-after uniqueness that takes into account the individuality and wishes of each client?

Individual design – one that no one else has, one that is uniquely mine – is increasingly appearing on the list of client requests and we encounter it in all fields. And if a client does not have such requests, why not offer them the possibility of individualizing the interior to the greatest extent and thus enhance the level of our services?

An example of the WorkLounge space in Wenceslas Square, designed by designer Hana Bellini. Custom digitally printed wallpapers were produced and installed by Copy General.

Where can digital printing be used, for example, in interior decoration? Let's illustrate this with an example from a meeting room. We can enter through directly printed doors – and it doesn’t matter if they are wooden or glass, both can be printed. We will step onto a carpet or linoleum printed with the company logo (or any other design). We will sit at a table – even its top can be printed. On the walls hang digitally printed images – this could be printing on canvas or photo paper, but also on OSB boards, plexiglass, or maybe a panel with a brushed aluminum surface, with sizes of up to three by two meters or even larger. Next to the images, the walls can be treated with digitally printed wallpapers featuring a design of our choice. If we want to cover the windows, we can use a textile curtain that is again printed with a custom design. If there is furniture in the room, we can match it with other elements and print it with a suitable motif…

The office spaces of Hochtief in the center of Prague showcase successful implementations. Custom drawings have been created and graphically prepared by Copy General, which printed the drawings on sandblasted foils.

With the help of digital printing, it is easy to transform the appearance of other types of interiors: offices, corridors, waiting rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, children's rooms, studies…

The example mentioned illustrates how digital printing allows for pushing the boundaries of individualization in interior design. If we can exaggerate, we can say that anything can be printed today: paper, plastics, wood, metals, glass, ceramics. It is not necessary to use only materials offered by the printing service provider; the client can supply their own materials.

What’s significant is that the printing is done exactly with the motif chosen by the client (and one can quickly and economically achieve a fully realistic appearance as opposed to some other reproduction techniques), so there is no need to limit yourself to the offer of serial production. At the same time, only the quantity needed for a given project is printed.

The new Like a bird collection by designer Ivy Bastlová and Copy General shows printing options on various materials not only for private interiors. In this case, it focuses on direct printing on a wooden table, glass partitions in combination with textiles and wallpaper.

Don’t miss the opportunity and offer your clients the possibility of interior and other architectural and design projects to be individualized using digital printing.
