Low-energy family houses on Arbesova Street in Olomouc - quality and healthy living with FERMACELL materials

The construction company EUROGEMA CZ, a.s. has decided to expand its construction portfolio to include the construction of low-energy family houses using timber construction technology, in which gypsum fiberboard material FERMACELL is maximally utilized. Gypsum fiberboards FERMACELL are used for cladding exterior and interior walls, and the exceptional properties of FERMACELL material are a strong reason for its use on floors throughout the house.

There are several reasons why the company decided to pursue the path of low-energy timber constructions, one of which is the effort to offer clients, amid rising energy prices, housing with minimal requirements for future operation and maintenance. It will also be interesting for investors that a strong point of the technologies and materials chosen by EUROGEMA as a developer is not only the speed of construction and the use of renewable resources, but - also due to natural materials - a significant improvement in indoor environmental quality.

The pilot project of NED construction in timber technology is the construction of 24 family houses in Olomouc - Slavonín on Arbesova Street. The architectural design was prepared by Ing. arch. Eugen Točík from the Brno studio Trignis s.r.o. and, thanks to his approach, the future residents of this locality are provided with two-storey, non-basement houses that are visually pleasant both from the outside and inside. This is due to the chosen volumetric and layout solution and the used elements (façade ceramic cladding, wooden windows and doors, pergolas, terraces, stairs, etc.). The proposed method of automatic warm air circulation heating with forced ventilation, heat recovery, and air filtration increases the quality of the environment in the house by reducing dust and allowing regulation of ventilation and heating modes. Perfect insulation and sealing of the outer shell, including triple glazing of windows and the use of solar panels for heating heating and hot water, are a matter of course.

The development on Arbesova Street will also offer quiet living 2.5 km from the city center with above-standard background of civic amenities (teaching hospitals, schools, kindergartens, shopping centers, etc.) and good transport accessibility.
