Unique light line!

The new Linaria luminaire from Zumtobel impresses with the charm of simplicity: a sleek line that consistently prioritizes architecture. Beneficial, uniform lighting can be achieved with minimal energy consumption, and the light can be smoothly dimmed from 1 to 100 percent. The unique feature is the possibility of creating continuous light lines in conjunction with the new "Seamless" lighting unit.

“The simpler and more economical the product, the greater the challenge for all involved. The Linaria luminaire is built on valuable material and a clear shape – a simple straight line will outlast every trend,” explains designer Klaus Adolph from AG Licht, who, in collaboration with Zumtobel, designed the new single-source track and the Linaria light line. Linaria received the iF-Award 2009 for good product design due to its linear, reduced design.

With an exceptionally slim housing width of 30 millimeters, Linaria Seamless is the ideal lighting fixture for spaces that need to appear representative. When placing luminaires with traditional T16 fluorescent tubes side by side, the resulting light line is interrupted by the sockets. The shading that arises is often perceivable as distracting by the observer's eye. With the Linaria Seamless T16-D luminaire, it is possible to create continuous light lines with uniform luminous flux: light next to light, in configurations with one or two rows. When connected in a row, there is barely discernible a four-millimeter gap between individual light modules. The Linaria Seamless light line equipped with the new generation of sources is illuminated all the way to the very end, creating the impression of an uninterrupted light line. The length of the Linaria Seamless T16-D light corresponds to the length of the luminaire. Thanks to the new lighting technology of the Seamless source, even the front sides of the luminaire are perfectly illuminated.

The sliding socket developed and patented by Zumtobel incorporates the lighting unit into the Linaria luminaire in a way that makes the socket invisible. This creates the impression that the simple and elegant light line of Linaria completely does without technical components.

Technically, the Linaria Seamless T16-D meets the high standard of T16 luminaires. It features excellent color rendering, has high efficiency, and can be dimmed at 54/39 W in a range from 1 to 100 percent, while operating at 24 W it can be dimmed in the range of 40–100 percent.

Due to the sliding socket developed and patented by Zumtobel for this new light source, the unit is cleverly integrated into the track, giving the impression that the fluorescent tube is held in the body of the luminaire without a socket. The new type of socket integration allows for simple and quick installation of the source. An excellent cable channel facilitates power supply, and the connection kit (mechanical, electrical, optical) allows multiple Seamless light tracks to be joined into one – theoretically endless – light track.

The Linaria light line is available with three optics: Clear convinces with a simple form. Diffuse features homogeneous light. The longitudinal prismatic cover excellently limits longitudinal glare, making it ideal for use in offices and workplaces.

The Linaria T16 luminaire, which is offered in a series covering all power ratings of T16 tubes, is also a slim 30 millimeters. It is the slimmest light track that can be controlled using DALI interface technology. The slender profile of the Linaria T16 is made possible by a special mounting of the ballast. This is integrated vertically into the metal housing with a powder coating, emphasizing the energy-efficient nature of the luminaire. The Linaria T16 housing is made of very high-quality aluminum and features a double functional enhancement. The powder coating adheres to resource-friendly practices and contributes to the luminaire's resistance to mechanical impacts.

Linaria Seamless T16 as well as Linaria T16 are available with clear, diffuse, or longitudinal prismatic covers.
