VVP AVU warmly invites you to another lecture of the spring series "Wednesdays at AVU":
on Wednesday 15-5-2013, at 18:00 auditorium of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (3rd floor) U Akademie 4, Prague 7
RADEK VÁŇA (Amsterdam)
SMALL BIG BANG
A bouquet of memories from curator Radek Váňa about the Prague galleries Velryba and Starter&Sorter, for which he prepared programs in the 1990s, as well as about the time when there were still few artists, optimism felt natural, and the internet did not exist. A decade in which everything was essentially being created, the world was opening and closing, and painting served as a solid foundation. Radek Váňa later ran the gallery de Veemvloer in Amsterdam, where he currently works as a freelancer.
moderated by Ondřej Chrobák and Terezie Nekvindová
NOTICE We would also like to inform you that the debate "DO WE HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING OURSELVES?". ARTISTS, CURATORS, AND GALLERY OWNERS with the participation of A.M. 180 Collective, Rafani, René Rohan, Marie Štindlová, and Lenka Vítková is moving from May 29 to May 22.
You can follow the lecture via online stream or recorded on the ČT 24 portal or on the Czech Television iVysílání website.
Organized by the Research and Scientific Workplace of AVU in cooperation with the Center for New Strategies in Museum Presentation at MG in Brno. Technical support by Diglab AVU.
