On Monday, April 9, 2018, at 5:30 PM, a double lecture on the topic of "What is architecture for?" will take place at the Retro Cinema in Zábřeh. The event is organized by Ondřej Pchálek in cooperation with the city of Zábřeh and Zábřežská kulturní. The event is part of a broader cycle that will focus on architecture and related topics. The theme of the contemporary small (and foothill) town will run throughout the entire cycle as an inconspicuous red thread. The first lecture evening will bring two different answers to the question What is architecture for? Lukáš Blažek will show what "Good standard" means to him. He will present original North Moravian realizations from Ječmen studio, including the reconstruction of the Zábřeh ZUŠ. Adam Wlazel in his lecture "Back to the bottom!" will demonstrate what architecture can be from the perspective of the Mobile Architectural Office! Moderated by Ondřej Pchálek. Admission is voluntary.
