On Friday, April 17, 2015, at 7:00 PM, a lecture by Jan Tabor - Abstract Architecture / Concrete Architecture will take place in the cultural space Prague/Forum for Architecture and Media at Husova Street 18 in Brno, discussing the dialectical connection between abstract architecture and concrete, the relationship of a residential building to an exhibition pavilion, and the Tugendhat villa and the German pavilion for the World Expo in Barcelona. Admission is free. The lecture is part of the workshop Abstraction, Iteration, Application.

Jan Tabor (*1944, Poděbrady) studied at the Technical University in Vienna and works as an architecture theorist, cultural journalist, and university educator. He is the curator of several exhibitions, such as Den Fuß in der Tür – Manifeste des Wohnens (2000) and Mega: Manifeste der Anmaßung (2002) at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna. He is the founder of the kunstkolchoz in Mikulovice near Znojmo and a co-founder of f.e.a. – forum experimentelle architektur in Vienna. He lives in Vienna and in Mikulovice near Znojmo.
